President Joyce announced that the Rotaract Planning Meeting will be held on Friday, February 12 at Carr’s at 7:30 a.m.
 
Alice Peeples reminded us of the Fireside at her house at 5:30 p.m. on February 11.  Please join us for food, fellowship, and wonderful music.  Please park in the long driveway, not the street, and lock your car.  Feel free to bring your dogs.
 
Jim Hairston reminded everyone of the Rose Sale Committee Kickoff meeting on Thursday, February 11 at 7:30 at Carr’s.
 
President Joyce announced March 25 as the next repack date at EFN and April 1-3 – District Leadership Training Assembly (DLTA) in Victoria.
 
President Joyce announced the incoming Rotary International President is John Germ from Chattanooga, Tennessee.  The theme for the coming year is Rotary Serving Humanity.
 
Fun and Fines – General Ed, with help from Clarke Thompson, recognized the following Rotarians and their activities:
 
Clarke Thompson and President Joyce paid $2.00 for failing to sign in.
 
Bob Lawrence paid $10.00 for neglecting to give Clover Park Rotary full credit for the amount of money we contributed to the Emergency Food Network and for being late.
 
Sheri Hodson made the appropriate contribution for her birthday.
 
Dave Cotant asked his wife Judy to describe their 4-night trip to Palm Springs and paid $25.00 for the experience.
 
Choi Halladay escorted his mother to Stockholm, Sweden to attend his aunt’s funeral and immediately returned to the states.  He will repeat the process to bring his mother home after the funeral. He paid $20.00 for the first leg of the trip.
 
Ellie Carr contributed $50.00 to her Paul Harris for her new car.
 
Marie Barth paid $2.00 for ratting on Rick Ring who contributed for the newspaper article that described the outcome of the Clover Park School District levy.
 
 
Today's Program
 
President Joyce introduced Michael Bowman and Victoria Clark who operate Bowman and Clark Furniture and Design in Lakewood.  Michael is LAO an instructor for Clover Park Technical College’s Interior Design program and shared information about the program and the various career options for students who complete it.  He and Victoria also discussed the services that interior designers provide to individuals and businesses and how they work to bring form, function, and good design to interior spaces.
