The Life of a DJ.
Notes from the March 15th meeting of
The Rotary Club of Clover Park
Becky started the meeting at 12:30 thanking Tom Faubion for serving as the greeter and Dave for the setup.
Jeannie Hill then provided six facts about women in honor of International Women’s Month.
Bob Lawrence led the flag salute followed by Joyce Oubre with the Four-Way Test.
Paige Hansen brought “Mack” as a guest.
Jeannie had nothing to report for the Sunshine Report.
Joyce gave an update for CAPRI – 2 days left, about 80 squares sold.
Ramona Hinton reminded the club that a Literary Nite was scheduled for March 23rd at Custer Elementary at 5:30. Volunteers are needed.
Georgene Mellom reminded everyone that the end of the year is approaching.  Donations to the Foundation should be considered.
Paige noted that there was two weeks left of performance of “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Lakewood Playhouse.
Becky then provided an update and lead a discussion on an issue concerning two club members.
Life as a DJ.
As the Speaker of the Day, Paige provided insight into what it is like being a radio DJ.  She now has 25 years experience in radio having started while in college.  Sitting in a small room broadcasting, it is difficult to imagine that more than 10,000 may be listening.  Paige can be found on KNKX noon to 3, Monday thru Friday.
To finish the meeting, the daily drawing was help.  With $291 in the pot, Jeannie Hill was drawn.  But, alas, she was not able to draw an ace.
The president then adjourned the meeting.
